A brief walk along Buck Beck at first light on a cold blustery morning with little about , when I saw what I thought was a swallow fly low across the beck ! near to the lock gates which are a popular area for them in summer . I cannot confirm the sighting as the bird continued south but from a distance of approx 100 yds certainly bore the characteristics in flight and form .
