Cleethorpes sightings - January 15

Single woodcock in undergrowth on Buck Beck edge of Cleethorpes Golf Course.

Near the 12th hole, there were 122 barnacle geese grazing.

It would be encouraging to believe they had flown in from Scandinavia, but they are members of the free-flying, non-migratory flock that is often seen at the nearby Cleethorpes boating lake.

Anyone know how they came to be established here - and since when? And what happened to their migratory instinct?
