Humberston-Tetney Lock: sightings this morning

Curlew count totalled 97 on windfarm mitigation fields between Humberston and Tetney Lock.

Among them were some golden plovers, probably no more than 30.

At Tetney Lock outfall sluice, six grey plovers provided good close-up views. Underrated birds. I like their understated nobility.

At nearby alpaca farm, the resident tree sparrows briefly had the company of mistle thrush and song thrush - one of each.
