Happy New Year to all.

A close-knit party of nine snow buntings were in lively form on Cleethorpes outer beach this morning.

On or near the saltmarsh, there were two stonechats, at least two bullfinches and a song thrush, but not many reed buntings.

On the boating lake, there were seven Canada geese - a common enough species but an irregular visitor to this location.
