A walk along the bank top early this morning , approx 30 curlew in field and a further 150 Brent geese feeding in corner towards the bank . However I noticed a vehicle stop on the track that runs parallel to coastline at the other side of the field . A rocket firework was then lit and fired in their direction and on exploding overhead frightened the entire group off over the marshland . So much for setting this land aside as can only imagine it was the local farmer .
