Thanks for that , thought it would be unusual to see one in that locality, and didn’t get an underside view .

Looks more like a First winter Peregrine, I think you can rule out goshawk.

Disturbed this bird almost at my feet , devouring a pigeon whilst walking along the dune track above the sea defence adjacent to Humber Mouth Yacht Club early this morning . It then dropped low and flew over the sand somewhat disgruntled .I initially thought it to be a peregrine but on closer inspection of the pic notice a distinct light band above the eye and it's head colouring was more buff . Having looked in one or two books it seems to resemble that of the Goshawk though if so not in its normal habitat. Is anyone able to give a more considered opinion. The pigeon had been well plucked and its chest cavity devoured.
