I also saw the Brent geese - about 40 - but they were in a different field, one nearer the Fitties with an emerging cereal crop.

Interesting to know , those will be the same fields I saw the Brent feeding at the weekend . Late morning today saw a lone goose on foreshore at Meridian Car Park . Neck seemed long & dark with a white rear , later checked and thought it to be a Bean goose .

I counted 159 curlew mid-morning today feeding on three grass fields adjacent to Humberston-Tetney Lock sea bank. Someone told me these fields represent a mitigation habitat imposed as a planning condition re consent for the eight nearby wind turbines. If so, it's certainly paying off.

The birds were temporarily disturbed by a foraging s-e owl but soon returned.
