And unless its been taken out a deep camber from the farm to the river. One time a day it was possible to Barn & Little Owls and quite a few different raptors but things change.

Nice total of species Alan, nice to know not much has changed. I took some feeders a few years back but over time they got nicked. My fave bird at BB is Tree Creeper and almost always see it on same two trees near FS.

Thanks.

Max

It is a single straight track road that runs directly down to the Trent. It is accessed off Scotter Road near Messingham. Basically you just look over fields and drainage ditches, there are 3 or 4 places you can pull off as it is very narrow and bumpy. In bad weather not safe on grass verges as deep in mud. It used to be very good for short eared owls but they seem to have deserted it now.The end near Scotter Road as a few trees and a very very small feeding station, 2 feeders, we are though going to put some more up. Once past there it is just farmers fields and drainage channels where you get sometimes get common waders.
