I don't think so. I have seen parakeets and the like before (I lived in Oz for 3 years and regularly saw them wild)
This was a dark'ish bird and had that seabird accent in its call.

Could it have been an escaped parrot/macaw/ cockatiel? Or a ring-necked parakeet?

Yesterday, I was at Grimsby institute on the astro pitch. I suddenly heard a bird call that immediately made me look up, and at first I though it was a hawk. No other birds were around it, and it came over the pitch heading toward Healing way, constantly making a Kee sound. It wasn’t a hawk though. About the size of a kestrel, similar wing shape, grey and hardly flapping tending to use its wings to turn through the stiff wind that was blowing northward. What made me sit up though was its very long tail feathers! Probably about half as long again as its body, and two distinct tendrils. I saw it for about 10 seconds, eyeballs only and it moved quite fast from view as it was quite windy. The only ID I can come up with is a long tailed skua. Is this possible?
