Jack Snipe at Graby

Six of us on a hike from Rippingale flushed a Jack Snipe from a stubble field near the hamlet of Graby.. It took off silently and flew right up into the low cloud and kept going.. It took off from almost under my feet and its bill was considerably shorter than a Common Snipe.
