Covenham sightings

Hour at Covenham Reservoir mid-morning today yielded as many as 20 yellow wagtails, three swallows, 13 great crested grebes, 200+ black-headed gulls.and one passing tern (common tern I think).

Waders included three redshank, two ruff, five common sandpiper and four turnstone.

There were also gadzillions of flies - it's always worth taking a face/head net on sunny days at Covenham
