Cleethorpes waderfest

Spectacular wader presence on Cleethorpes outer sands just after high tide this morning.

It included 1,000+ knot, 300+ ringed plover, 300+ grey plover (record pic attached), 300+ oystercatcher, 200+ dunlin, 100+ curlew, 10 bartails, 20 redshank and two turnstone.

Many of the birds were still showing plenty of breeding plumage.

Also about were 20 common terns, at least one sandwich tern and 10 swifts.
