Hi Phil,
No photos, I'm afraid.
The two birds were seen in flight over the bottom end of the southern pit, almost opposite the hide on north pit. Obviously large birds, all white plumage and long black legs which were obvious as they flew away from me. Didn't see the bill colour or the hunched neck at that stage and they flew over the trees and out of sight. Fortunately on the way back I relocated one bird feeding in the bottom corner of the southern pit and was able to note the long yellow bill and kinked neck. Upon returning to the car park I spotted the second bird feeding in the far corner of the same pit nearer to the road. Again saw the yellow bill and kinked neck and checked to make sure the first bird was still at the other end of the pit. It was!
Hope this is sufficient.
Regards,
David Cohen

Hi David,
Nice sightings. GW Egret is still a LBRC description species, so it would be great if you could formally submit a description via this website and include any photos.
Best regards
Phil Hyde, LBRC.
