At least two ringed plovers were part of this morning's waderfest on Cleethorpes tideline.

They joined the numerous curlew, knot, dunlin, oystercatcher and bar-tailed godwit.

Unfortunately, the window of seeing the wader flock is not long - not much more than hour after high tide, them most are gone.

Yesterday, many of the knot and bartails were in breeding plumage, but today I only saw one bird in 'red' - a bartail..

Either, these were different birds from yesterday or their plumage changes within 24 hours.

Also present on the sand were at least seven common terns.

On the walk running alongside the saltmarsh was a very flighty wheatear.

I didn't count them but, overhead, the passage of swallows and house martins was plentiful, with a few sandmartins and swifts.

At Humberston Fitties pool, there were seven dunlin and one greenshank.

At Tetney outfall sluice, I counted five common sandpiper.
