Flock of 100+ linnets on saltmarsh this afternoon. Mostly juveniles, but some adults in fine breeding plumage. They were very flighty and didn't seem much interested in feeding.

On Central Beach, there were 50+ curlew feeding as the tide was receding. .Also 100+ oystercatchers and about 12 redshank but I didn't detect any other waders.

Overhead, the passage of swallows, house martins and swifts continues. Didn't count the hirundines, but I estimate swifts have been passing over the foreshore at an average of at least 50 an hour since last Sunday morning.
