Not seen by myself, but received a message from a fellow Keelby resident about a Red Kite seen this afternoon over the Cissplatt Lane area of the village. The resident described the bird to me and it was definitely a Red Kite.
This is now the fourth sighting of a Red Kite over the village in the last two months.

Regards

Jon

This morning at around 8.30am soaring around the boating lake in Cleethorpes! Watched it for around 10 minutes over salt marsh, boating lake and over toward Buck beck. Flying against the wind so had a great view and managed to watch while walking in the same direction.

He/she seems to be getting around a bit locally. Great news that we now seem to have a resident here. Magnificent bird.

Great views of red kite at Tetney, near oil tanks, at 3.30pm today and later, at 5pm over New Waltham, presumably same bird.
