I agree with your comments Jim.
Rachel or Sian ( her deputy ecology officer) go to Cress Marsh several times a week and photograph the sightings book which we complete assiduously: they keep a spreadsheet of all the species seen. I understand they also check entries made to BirdTrack for Cress Marsh.

Thanks for that comment, If Rachel/NELC signed on for LBC membership, she could monitor the records as they come in on this forum. Not just those for the country park but also for Cress Marsh and other sites on the council patch.

I know councillors are more strapped than ever for cash, but it's a poor show if NELC can't cough up £15 to join the club and help its ecology officer to do her job.

I'll write to Rachel and suggest this.

Following a recent conversation with North East Lincs Ecology Officer, Rachel Graham, it transpires she has no bird/species sighting records for Cleethorpes Country Park.
Rachel would be pleased to hear from birders that may have records/data, historical/ongoing that they may like to share with her for the purpose of creating a recorded listing
Also anybody who is recording on a regular/irregular basis and would like to contribute, can contact her on the following addresses

Rachel.Graham@nelincs.gov.uk

twitter.com/EcoNelc or @EcoNelc

Bats Bess and Butterflies sightings also appreciated.
