I spent a couple of hours at Rimac yesterday evening and saw and heard the 2 cuckoos , 4/5 house Martins over the ponds on the south side .

So I have been trying to count the number of cuckoos at Theddlethorpe St Helens in the dunes. Watching again tonight, in one small area of no more than half a mile, there is at least 5 (witnessed 4 separate males and 1 female in this area this evening). With at least two at RIMAC daily, there is at least 7 on this stretch and this is conservative. Does not include further south towards Mablethorpe or North towards Saltfleet and Donna Nook where there are more again.

Separately there have been two birds calling in Grimoldby where I live down Pickhill Lane.
