Thanks Joy

I know there are tawny owls in Healing - friends who live in other parts of the village mention that they hear them much more frequently than we do. And last summer, I was called to the Primary School because a juv tawny was trapped in the small gap between 2 fences. I couldn't get to it to release it and the next day it had gone so I guess it found a way out.
I was just excited to see one from home for the first time!

Kind regards - Stay Safe

Hi Martin,
Our house backs on to Porri’s Wood ( as you will know, it’s very close to Radcliffe Road) in Healing: we hear, and occasionally see, Tawnies very regularly . Most years we have 2 or 3 juvs in and around the garden.
Regards, Joy

Set out for my daily exercise at about 9pm and saw a tawny owl on a telegraph pole and then in a tree in Radcliffe Road, barely 50m from my home.
In 40-odd years, I have rarely, if ever, heard them here, never mind see one.

Kind regards - Stay Safe
