Could well have been the same bird, Peter.

I never saw it in the open - only flapping from branch to branch within woodland. The extent of white was conspicuous.

That’s interesting, Jim. I was viewing the Marsh from Fitties Lagoon side at approx 16:00 when I saw at long range what I took to be a Hawk come over the sea bank and fly quite fast and low out over the Marsh before disappearing from view.
Didn’t appear as fast as Pere or Sparrowhawk but a showing of white near the tail. Couldn’t find it again

Nothing else of note found, possible Stonechat, but again, at very long range, before getting rained off.

A Harris hawk was getting grief from two magpies in tall trees off South Sea Lane in Humberston at 1.30 pm today.
