I received this message from Germany:

Thank you very much, Jim, for the news! Great that you took photos. They clarify the matter easily.
Your Gull has been tagged as a breeder in the Western Baltic Sea some weeks ago.
On the island called Riether Werder is one of the largest colonies of BHG in Germany: just below 10.000 pairs in 2019.
Here are the ringing details:

* Black X2VC + metal ring Hiddensee IA 190 779
adult, banded in a breeding colony
10-06-2019
RIETHER WERDER, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, North-Eastern Germany
53°42'00" N, 014°16'00" E

We know one former sighting: Your Gull was seen on Cleethorpes Boating Lake, Lincolnshire, England on 18th of July 2019 by Chris Atkin.
Hiddensee BRC has been informed. Unfortunately, the staffing situation in our BRC is bad right now ;-((
That's why it will take a while to answer officially.

Please continue to keep an eye on the black ringed ones. ;-))
Best wishes, Hendrik

At low tide between the pier and the leisure centre.

From preliminary research (on web), I think greenie might be a Norwegian bird and VN56 Lithuanian.

No clue yet on the other two.

Good sightings, Jim.
Approximately on which area of the beach did you spot them.
Will be interested to know their origins

Four colour-ringed black-headed gulls on Cleethorpes Beach this afternoon:
White: 6MA
Green: J2E4
White: VN56
Black: X2V?

6MA only had one leg.

All yesterday's grey plovers had left as had all but a dozen or so of the ringed plovers. The only waders I saw were two oystercatchers and one turnstone.
