Shame the work couldn’t be postponed until October. At this time of year, there are still plenty of juvenile warblers about.

Early morning visit at Belvoir Rd

Ones of note

Grey Heron 1
Whitethroat 2+2 juv
Blue Tit 3 + 1 juv
Blackcap 2 + 2 juv
Blackbird 4 + 2 juv still being fed
Greenfinch 1+ 1 juv
Bullfinch 2 juv
Swallow 2
Kingfisher 1

Monday 19th
Fledgling House Sparrow being fed in my back garden
Swifts x 3 skimming the lake in Country Park

Buck Beck still being dredged, West Bank now completely clear of reeds.
Not the best time of year for this surely, Reed and Sedge Warblers still present, only one Sedge Warbler heard briefly from bramble thicket yesterday
