A speculative mid-morning quest for any vagrants hopefully brought in by easterlies and rain failed to deliver.

Best birds on outer saltmarsh, Cleethorpes were two wheatears and one each of snipe and cuckoo (there was also a cuckoo on perimeter of Cleeethorpes golf course).

On the beach were one whimbrel, one brent goose and 11 sanderling.
