Thanks Nige for posting all those colour ring sightings, it’s amazing what our birds get up to! I spotted a common gull yesterday you may be interested in, it’s a partial albino in as much as 5 inches of its left wing tip is pure white. This makes it easy to identify. We first spotted the bird on 19th. Feb 1998 and have seen it 63 times since. ( I’ve just been through 20 years of diaries prompted by your reports.) This makes it a good 19 years old at least, bearing in mind it an adult when first seen. We mostly see it between November and February but the earliest was 19th. Oct 2000 and the latest was 27th. March 1998. Hope this is of interest
