Garry Wilkinson, chairman of the Northern Ireland Ornithologists’ Club, has been in touch with the club
Last week. he came over from Belfast to attend the graduation of his godson from RAF Cranwell.
He planned to make the most of his trip and wanted a) to find out about good birding sites and b) to discover what was about.
From our exchange of emails, it emerged that Garry has a disadvantage - he is colour blind.
However, this doesn’t stop him enjoying the hobby.
