Vocal mute swan was created by Jim Wright
This morning, a single adult mute swan at the Humberston Fitties pools was uttering a persistent subdued quack. Although not loud it carried - it was audible from at least 80 metres away. Anyone know the purpose of this ‘call’? Is it a distress note? The bird seemed healthy enough.
