If a few more ask me to post then I may do, that way it will show me that members want me to post again. BTW I had eleven Cattle Egret other evening on my patch, that's nine more than have ever seen before.

I think you should resume posting your sightings on the Forum, John. The readership may not be great, but I am sure those who do log in appreciate the opportunity to find out what's happening in your patch, especially as your records are often accompanied by a bit of light-hearted commentary.

Am sure those users of the forum will have noticed I haven't posted any sightings since I was snubbed by the powers that be whatever CG says, it's a pity he didn't contribute to the sightings on forum as I did every chance I got, I helped to keep it going along with the loyal band of members who could be counted on the fingers of two hands.

For the last few days I have been transferring my records of sightings both in our county and outside of it dating back to 2022 onto Birdtrack and really enjoying it. I hadn't used Birdtrack since 2010 and it was interesting to look at my old records which were really easy to bring up unlike on here, although the old forum is locked I often go on or did but as the site isn't secure I tend not to stay on to long.

Am sure members will remember when I posted sightings in 2022/3 for The Undisclosed Area of North Lincs and got many members backs up because I would not reveal the site name, my friend AH and another well known birder who is not a member decided that we didn't want this area to become another Worlaby plus the site was down a single track road with very few places to park and was on private land so that was why we decided on not naming it, sadly my excellent sightings especially for raptors couldn't be included in any LBC yearly report but they will be entered on the BTO database. The Undisclosed area is dead as it is going to be built on with over one thousand houses, sub & pumping stations plus all the infrastructure. The real name of this site is Farmer's Lane AKA Burringham AKA Brumby Common Lane, I entered the latter name back in 2005 on Birdtrack so obviously will enter all records since then to now.

Kind regards

John
PS: yes we do "reap what we sow" as I am doing entering all records on Birdtrack and none on none on the forum.
