Hi Pete
Until this year I used to do BBS in North Owersby and found Thornton-le-Moor and Holton-le-Moor area was good for grey partridges as we drove back round that way. Maybe because a major landowners' wife is keen to encourage birds in the area as she was involved in lapwing study that BTO took over.

I spent 20 minutes this morning  trying to persuade this mystery object to be a Dotterel, but it refused to budge
