I have to hold my hands up on this. I was told (by an authoritative source) that it was a Baird’s, but I should have checked the records.

I don’t have access to the online CCP document, but I hope it can be corrected.

Apologies for the blooper

Hi James,

It is incorrect and should be Buff-breasted Sandpiper - which Dave found there on 31st May 1989.
Baird's Sandpiper has never been recorded at Cleethorpes Country Park.

Regards

Chris

Looking at the Cleethorpes Country Park site guide on the Home page it says that a Bairds Sandpiper has been recorded. Is this correct?

Before he passed away Dave Bradbeer gave me a copy of his list for the park, which is more extensive than my current one, and it shows a Buff-breasted but no Bairds!

For those interested the current patch total is 159 (though should probably be 160). I will, at some point, put a full list online and so that it can be checked and any missing species added to it.

Regards
James
