Thanks Pete,

My garden is in Irby upon Humber just up the hill from Laceby and about 5 miles from Grimsby.

I was fairly certain that it was a Yellow-browed at the time, though it seems very late, having since looked in my warbler guide I am now convinced that it was in "worn"
plumage and not actually showing any yellow.

I had a very small warbler in the garden yesterday, on seeing it my first thought was a Goldcrest but when looking through my bins I could see that it had a pale stripe over the eye and
dark wing bars. Unfortunately I couldn't get a picture as it was very "skittish" and didn't stay around very long, my last view was it flying into a neighbours Hawthorne tree then up into a large fir
tree when I could see its green back. I know that it's very late for Yellow-browed but can't come up with anything else?
