This splendid gouache  study of two scarlet macaws has this month sold at auction for £480 - more than four time higher than the pre-sale estimate of £80 to £120.

The work, by Darwen-based artist  Adrian Rigby (born 1962), went under the hammer at an auction conducted by Tennants of Leyburn in Yorkshire.
