There is a what’s app group who share wildlife sightings for ST nnr , these are compiled into a weekly reports submitted to
the Lincolnshire wildnews forum which several hundreds of people read but only a few regularly contribute.
its free and is posted on Wednesdays
The sightings covers a wide range of fauna and is available for records
eg over the past 3 days 2 Norfolk hawker dragonflies have been seen by several of the group
and will be submitted next Tuesday .
An osprey has been resident in the Saltfleet haven area for several days now seen regularly taking fish and perches
on a haven marker post.

I agree current information would be better but I suppose older information is okay for recording purposes.

Recently joined the above group on Facebook and have enjoyed seeing pics of Rimac and said so.

Yesterday the past weeks Sightings were put on and it says the birders who contributed, quite a few belong LBC but only one puts their sightings on the forum but at least they are for that day. As yet have not said owt about the sightings of the others but may.

It would be better to put daily sightings on not those that are days old and the birds mentioned have probably moved on.

Something similar used to happen for the person who did the sightings for Alkboro years ago in a newsletter,  when the sightings were put on they were for the previous week which for anyone wanting to see them they had most likely taken flight and gone somewhere else, so in my humble opinion a total waste of time except for the area recorder.

Am probably on my own thinking the above.
