Contrary to a report in the June edition  of the club's e-newsletter, The Heron, there definitely was a sighting of crossbill on the club's trip to the Cairngorms last month.

One of our party, Jacquie, an experienced 'crossie' observer, was on the ball on our morning in Loch Garten.

She writes: "I did have two crossbills over road near the car park - heard better than saw."

Well spotted, Jacquie, and I am happy to correct the record.
