Where do we start.  How many have seen a "little brown job" and wondered what the hell it is, personally in the past would have gone home and spent an hour or so going through numerous guides trying to put a name to it and 99% of the time no wiser and hoping I may see it again and get either a photo or better detail! I know there are Apps out there that will recognise any bird by song/call etc.  I would sooner ask a mate by sending them a photo or description and have done many times. Half the thrill of wildlife watching especially birds is wondering what am going to see, well it is for me anyway. I don't want a gadget that takes the FUN out of my only hobby and makes it predictable and boring!! I have seen this new gadget before while viewing Swarovski website.

That's got the ball rolling!

Anyone got any thoughts on this innovation? In my view, these bins would take the challenge out of birding. Trouble is that people these days want a quick fix.
