There is another threat to marshland breeders - carrion crows, especially when they have a good site to scan for where nests might be available.

The saltmarshes from Horseshoe point to Mablethorpe including DN realignment we’re all overtopped
by the highest tide recorded since Dec 2013 so only nests on banks or foredunes survived 
I walked  alongside several  sites post the tides

Good to see an RSP trio from Blacktoft Sands visiting Tetney Marshes to survey breeding redshank.Word is that breeding success may have been hit by the monster tides of earlier in the month which are likely to have flooded some of the nests.
