certainly need footwear with high grip soles , i almost went over in recent days with well cleated wellies
i cannot remember  such a wet winter as this in the past 40 years
the concrete paths leading to the foreshore at Churchill and Brickyard lanes car parks ST nnr
are up to 5 or 6 inches deep over 100 m in length.
the water levels in the main freshwater level is  at maximum height .
More heavy rain forecast for Wednesday, wish we could export it to southern Spain very sad to see the demise of
the Donana NP due to lack of water low rainfall and over extraction taken to grow strawberries in adjacent land, and an
ever increasing holiday town nearby  !!!

Didn't realise that Jim had so many blogs on the go, read quite a few just now and skimmed through the others, it's a wonder he has time for birding etc ;)

Well done Jim ( The Wryneck)

I will keep eye out in future.

Memo to RSPB Tetney Marshes visitors - following recent rain, parts of the sea bank have become very slippery. There were several mishaps or near-mishaps today, and one women needed paramedic treatment after taking a tumble and injuring her leg.
