The Lincolnshire  Bird Club has received an invitation  to be part of the Sleaford RiverLight Festival Eco-Village being put together for October 21 by Sleaford Climate Action Network.

The Eco-Village will be at Church Lane Primary School in Sleaford (NG34 7DF).

It  will include :-

* a pedal powered cinema, showing animated films created by local school children and other short environmental films aimed at children.

* displays showcasing local biodiversity and habitats

* a range of stalls promoting sustainable living

* on-site creation of a sculpture made out of rubbish

* refreshments

Says co-organiser Mary Cummins: "I am very much hoping to identify the wildlife of Sleaford and its hinterland, including the wider River Slea catchment area, to children and their families, so it would be appropriate for experts with in-depth local knowledge to be part of the event."

If anyone, preferably from the Sleaford area,  is willing to help with an LBC stand, reply via this thread  and I will let Mary know.
