Important that members post on our site as well as Twitter

I feel it is important that members post their latest sightings on the website (not solely on twitter).

Twitter is a useful adjunct tour website but it is also a competitor.

If members only post on Twitter, the sightings section in the forum will become redundant.

This would be a shame because it would dilute the value both of the website and of LBC membership.

My view is that as much material as possible should be posted on all sections of the website to give it momentum and substance, especially in these early months as it seeks to establish itself.

It’s fantastic that the new website has already prompted at least 12 newcomers to join/ rejoin the club, but it is a slight worry that some regular posters to the old site have so far submitted nothing to the new site. It is vital that we keep them in the fold.
