That's a better quote mate.
My favourite quote of all time given to me by a golfer fifty years ago is "old golfers never die they just lose their balls".
Jim, if you think this quote will offend anyone then please feel free to delete it.

It wasn't meant to be a negative comment - just a quote from a novel by L.P. Hartley.
I agree with you about the old forum - there's some good stuff there, and it is shame that most have now ceased contributing in favour of other social media, notably Twitter, Whatsapp and Facebook.
I haven't researched other county club websites to see whether they remain as vibrant as in the past.
Below is a different quote which might be more to your liking, John or, at least, less to your disliking.
‘The past is never dead. It’s not even past.’ – William Faulkner

Not sure what your comment is telling the members or me Jim?
I think it is a negative comment and am surprised you made it!
There are loads of members who belonged the OLD FORUM who have never been on the NEW FORUM and never would because of lots of reasons, probably the main reason is because it isn't as good otherwise the older members that used the old one would use the new one.
There is hundreds of pages of excellent info and photos. stored on the OLD FORUM for any of the members to access both for our county, the UK and Worldwide!
Whenever I went to Scotland etc I always read the corresponding pages to the area I was going even if I had been to that area before, in case I read info that wasn't known to me. Maybe it would have been helpful on the recent trip LBC trip to Scotland to read these old pages, maybe not.
I for one am well pleased the OLD FORUM is still accessible to us as I often read it when there are next to know sightings on the NEW FORUM like I have just seen. And long may it continue!
Kind Regards
John aka Max

To the newer members I'd recommend a visit to the old LBC forum, I've just had a look at some of my old postings from 2014 Scotland etc and I still get a buzz each time I read them.
There is lots of excellent info to be gained from the old forum, it isn't a secure site like this one but have never had a problem.
