Agree with Pete on bumble bee and blue butterfly.

Plants maybe Primula, Periwinkle, Wild Strawberry, Cowslip, Thistle, Viola & Wild Daffodil.  Possibly candytuft, Bluebells or Cantabury Bells.

Not many tried guessing lol as usual!

The butterfly could be any of four, Holly, Common, Chalkhill, or Adonis. Jackie says the bee is a Bombus Terrestris (Buff-tailed Bumble Bee). There is also a Unicorn which are common in our garden.

Next question.

Identify and name a) the insects and b) the wildflowers.

It has to be said that the design is a wonderful tribute to Nature and beautifully painted (water colour and gouache) by Andrew Jamieson.

Wren & Robin.

Nowadays this new forum is getting more like the old forum and not before time! We had a lot of fun on the old one.

For those LBC members unfortunate enough not to have received an invitation to next month's Coronation, the attached image (which appears in today's edition of the Daily Mail newspaper) shows what it looks like. It is an attractive design, reflecting the king's fondness for the natural world. Can you a) find and b) identify the two songbirds.
