The wildlife of the Lincolnshire Coast will come under the spotlight at a board meeting of Natural England chaired by Tony Juniper, on Wednesday afternoon, February 22.

There is a widespread aspiration for almost the whole coastal stretch to be designated a national nature reserve.

The discussions  will be led by NE officers Oliver Harmar, Laura Steuart, Rob Gornall and James Marshall.

It would have been good for the meeting to have been held in Lincolnshire and open to interested individuals. Instead, the venue is in Lambeth, South London, and the meeting will be held in private.

Meanwhile, tomorrow evening Defra minister Trudy Harrison MP will be quizzing Natural England executives about the organisation's objectives and the extent to which they are being achieved.
