I am sure the presence of these lines at Cress are significant in the absence of bats in the area. I am not saying that bats collide with the lines, but the electric field generated by the lines somehow upsets the bats ability to navigate and hunt in the vicinity. I have conducted many bat surveys for the Bat Conservation Trust, and never before have I found such an absence of bats in what should be a prime location.
