LBC has received notification of a birding convention to be held in the county over the first weekend of October next year.

It will be destination Skegness/ Gibraltar Point for the Gay Birders' Club.

A highlight of the event will be a dinner for 60 at the Savoy Hotel on October 6 with a guest speaker.

So far, the GBC has been unable to book a speaker, so it has put out a request. Is there any LBC member who will do the honours? Or maybe two or three could chat for 20 minutes or so? The preferred topic is Birds of the Skegness area.

It will be an opportunity to fly the flag for LBC, and it will be regrettable if we can't provide a welcome to our fellow birders.
