Thanks for the good wishes. I can assure all that I am ok.
I had to spend eleven days in the Royal Derby Hospital which is the specialist unit for the East Midlands for hand injuries. They are excellent too. I drove there a week last Thursday expecting a bit of treatment and then a trip home again. The Doctor took one look and announced I would be staying the night and would be having an operation in the morning. She intimated that there was the possibility of a second procedure but rarely a third.
Well of course after a third procedure last Friday I was released on Sunday.. Yesterday I went back for a check up and have to back next week and a couple of weeks after that
Using the computer isn't really a problem as I am only a two figure typist anyway. I just haven't learned to update things on my phone!
As for the nature of my injury - well if I get round to it - you may just read about in the next newsletter as yet another cautionary tale

Chris ,
Couldn't the club get someone to stand in for you when you are on holiday or ill, that way you don't have to work your tail off. Surely its not asking to much to have someone to help you out, after all there are 600+ members and quite a big admin team. Just a suggestion. Maybe you don't want an hand.

Get Well Soon Chris! was created by John T Goy
Since Nov 15th been checking the Latest News sightings but nowt there, I did read in August's committee meeting that he was unhappy about the LN thread and I wondered if my and others flack had peed him off earlier this year. I wondered each time I came on if he had quit or was poorly. Just looked at them again and Chris has posted why there is no news sightings, he is in hospital with a bad hand injury.
Am sure we all wish Chris a speedy recovery, I certainly do despite our differences over the posting of my sightings and others.
All the best from sunny Scunny!!!!!!!
Regards
John aka Max
