Another  case of avian influenza has been confirmed in a collection of birds in Lincolnshire.

The disease was identified yesterday at a premises near Metheringham in North Kesteven.

A 3km control zone has been established and humane culling has been authorised.

No details have been revealed about the species, but Defra say it was a non-commercial collection.

Instead if being a poultry farm, it  may thus be an ornamental collection or an aviary in a back garden.
