Hi Jim,

After this reply want Andy C to lock it!

Those who could have replied didn't and the three-man admin team from Lincolnshire Birding are all well known members of LBC!

When I went on Fb last night there was a box from LB with my latest comment on and the admin had said, 'only us and you can see this comment' and then I had a choice of boxes to tick all of which were not in my favour, I tried not ticking any but couldn't I was stuck, so ticked the one I thought was the best one (but wasn't really) then I was allowed to get out the box. It reminded me of when a computer freezes you can't switch it off or on.

I believe in fair play and those who know me well enough know I will back them to the hilt as I have done many times on this forum and the old one and I expect the same in return.

I quit Lincolnshire Birding group on Fb last night as the admin team left me no option, they haven't had the decency of telling me why they objected to my comment, but as of today the matter is CLOSED but not forgotten though!

Tomorrow is a new day with lots of sightings on the horizon, looking forward to my time on this forum which I thoroughly enjoy  .

Kind regards

John aka Max

If it's any consolation, John, I once posted a highly favourable book review on the RSPB's community Book Club page.

The following day, it was taken down, and I received a message from HQ accusing me of being abusive.

I responded by protesting to the chief executive who didn't reply.

I made some more inquiries and discovered the reason why my review had been blocked - it included a reference to bearded tits.

That's the sort of world we live in!

Hi Jim,

The post you put on Lincs Birding (FB) about a book I found very interesting and said, "very interesting, Jim"  but according to their admin it was classed as spam, can't for the life of me think why.  It has been removed and they have sent me a list of rules etc which have read. They asked if I disagreed with their decision and I said yes, so they will decide my fate when they get round to it. Then I'll decide if to leave the group.

Much prefer the forum!!

I recently joined the private Dragonfly & Damselfly Group (also on FB)  which am really enjoying and getting lots of support from members and admin.

Kind regards

John
