Watched with much interest a You tube 7 minute video with 600+k views of a male sprawk taking down a magpie, couldn't believe my eyes!  It had one hell of a struggle with the magpie fighting for all its worth, the sprawk started plucking the feathers out etc to be honest it was a bit hard to watch!

I've watched many kills in the garden of either male or female getting their prey but never heard the cry of the victim BUT the guy who filmed the video did. Despite the video lasting almost seven minutes the constant squarking of the magpie was rather off-putting and I had hoped the sprawk would have killed it sooner.
I'll try and find it again and put a link on here.

What I found very odd was a male getting such a big bird whereas it would normally get a goldfinch sized bird, I text my mate and he was very surprised.
