Good luck to Lincolnshire birder Alexander Lees  (pictured) with his new book, Vagrancy in Birds.

He has co-written it  with James Gilroy, and it is published (£40 in hardback) by Bloomsbury/Helm on December 9.

Pre-publication reviews by the likes of Mark Avery have been favourable.

Stamford-educated Alex, senior lecturer in biodiversity at Manchester Metropolitan University, was guest speaker at the LBC's 2019 AGM - the last to be held 'in person' before the pandemic.
