Hi Max. Meggies is a colloquial name for Cleethorpes, or people born there.I have lived in Cleethorpes for over fifty years, but am not considered to be a Meggie as I was born in Grimsby.
I have no idea of its origin.
Regards and best wishes,
Neil

Sorry to hear that, best wishes from us both. Will carry on at BB although a bit quiet there at moment but weather forecast might change all that ! Take care.

Had hoped to get there this week with the stuff I got from Wilko but I think the only place I'll get to is hospital at Leeds, gone downhill since last Friday (did have the 3rd dose of Covid vaccine - not the booster) and not been able to consume solids or liquids, almost sure i know the problem (CD) but affecting me in the oesophagus which is unusual. At present I've seen more meat on a butcher's apron than on me and I'd make a good scarecrow :) am sure AH will keep the birdies happy at BB.

BTW am not looking for sympathy just wanted to tell those on here who I regard as pals why I won't be posting any sightings etc.

Certainly not looking forward to being in hospital while Covid here.

Have fun lads and lasses!

Cheers
