A training morning  for volunteer wildlife surveyors has been lined up in Cleethorpes for this Sunday October 24 between 8am and 10.30am. (Meet outside the leisure centre.)

It is a joint initiative involving officers from the RSPB, Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and North East Lincolnshire Council.

Says a statement from LWT:

Training for volunteers in species ID and recording

Whether you can spare a few hours or a full day, volunteering is a chance to make a real difference to local wildlife, while learning useful skills, making new friends and increasing your knowledge of wildlife conservation.

Recording birds regularly from the same site can provide important information about it’s natural value, and to evaluate the effects of site management. We’re looking for people to help us collect this data by conducting regular surveys.
